Tune in to Radio Royal Surrey

My grateful thanks to the staff and doctors at Phyllis Tuckwell who promptly instigated an MRI scan yesterday morning which swiftly lead to the commencement of a 5 day programme of radiotherapy starting tomorrow at The Royal Surrey, Guildford. The aim is to zap the new secondaries discovered in the thoracic spine area and get me back on my feet again and reduce pain. If I promise to behave myself can I come back to Farnham and thank you all personally (and collect the contents of my mini-bar!) Cheers from David

  4. Just thinking of you David and sending encouraging vibes as you go through the radiotherapy. I imagine it’s leaving you feeling very tired, but hopefully you’ll be more perky when the treatment begins to take effect.
Love, hugs and strength to you and Geraldine.

  5. Now confined to bed on the radio programme and having to contend now with so much more in combating the pain and paralysis caused by the mets found in the thoracic spine, I am now safely in the hands of the administering angels staffing the shifts on Onslow Ward at the Royal Surrey.

Thank you one and all for the invaluable support without which I would be dwindling rapidly.

    love and light

  7. Hey sweetie,

Glad to see you're blogging again. If Geraldine needs an ear, just give her my number and I'll be happy to chat or pop over. Wishing you both as much Love as I can.

Keep focussed and optimistic; if Love could heal, you'd be the healthiest man I know.

    Big Hugs and Kisses,

    Julie

  9. Having been out of circulation for a while and only now coming across your blog via the 'cafe' I'm astounded, yet not surprised, in the way you have dealt with your illness David. I'm not a religious person David but my heart and thoughts like so many others, will be with you and your family throughout this very trying time. I do so hope for you a speedy recovery David. Take care buddy, your blog is beautifully written, which I shall now continue to follow. Good luck buddy, keep wearing your heart on your sleeve.
